True colors

Here it is, folks. This is how the photo below, should look.

This was taken at Mount Maunganui on the east coast in The Bay of Plenty, North Island and that is Whale Island in the background.

One of my mother's cousins used to own Whale Island, but they sold it a few years ago.

The day this photo was taken, the storm swept in across the sea and when it hit there was thunder and lightning. The rain poured down in buckets. It was wonderful to see.

The beauty of God's creation. What a gift.

The negative one is very interesting and leaves a lot for the imagination to work with.

The winds must have been calm thru the storm for the waves to be so still ... not raging.

I find it amusing that the couple leaving the beach in the rain thought it necessary to use an umbrella while wearing bathing suits!

I love to watch storms over the ocean :) Amazing how some storms calm the waves and some storms rage the waves.

I don't really know much about cameras. All I can tell you, is that I use a Canon and also a Zenit E. Other than that, I just take photos.

Sorry we can't go shopping....gotta save that $$$$ for a camera don't ya know :) My birthday is August 5th...yours? Is yours digital? I have been taking pictures the 20th century way...with a Canon Sure Shot...however, I bought some B&W film at Wally World this afternoon and will head to the beach with camera in hand.....thanks for the inspiration...we don't have mountains but the ocean changes personality daily!!
