Walk on water

I look at the ocean and think about when Jesus walked upon the water.

The Lord held out His hand and Peter went to Him.

Then Peter took his eyes off the Lord and saw the wind tossed waves. Fear crept in and Peter began to sink.

Peter cried out to the Lord and in an instant, the Lord was there to save him.

Peter is not alone. Fear takes my eyes off Jesus too. At least Peter got to walk on water.

How cool is that?

Janice, hi there, it's great to see you.

Where this photo was taken, there is a massive riptide. There is no way anyone could swim there in safety.

If you look closely at the pic, you can see where two currents collide.

I can picture our Lord walking across that water as if it were solid land. He is mighty.
    Blessing to you.

The other day, I heard someone say,

"When you can walk upon the pool, you get to make all the rules"

When I'm struggling in my Christian life and have doubts, does it mean I have less faith?

Many people in the Bible whom we consider to be "pillars of faith" had moments of doubt.

The key is to bring your doubts directly to the Lord. Doubts are valuable when they bring you closer to God. Amen!

Rulan, thanks for dropping by my blog. Happy Valentine's day to you too!

    God bless

What a beautiful picture! and it goes with the template color like it was made for it.

Pictures like this remind me of the majesty of God.

It reminds me of a verse in a song.

"Who showed the sun, where to rise in the morning?
Who told the ocean, it could only come so far?"

So beautiful! It makes my heart lift in praise and yearn to truly believe I can walk on water--both figuratively and practically speaking.

Prayer Warrior, thanks for the visit. Yes, we all have doubts. How I wish I didn't doubt as often as I do, but I guess that's just a part of being human. Thankfully, we have an awesome God. Blessings to you.

Donna, hi there. I'm glad you enjoyed curms story. It sure was great to have a laugh. Thanks for your kind comment. May the Lord bless you.

Bonnie, hi there. Nice to see you. That song must be lovely. I don't know it though. Perhaps you could sing it for me? God bless you.

Paula, nice to have you visit. Wouldn't it be so cool to be able to do that? wow. I often wish I could. God bless you.

    Dear Sister Rulan,

Great Revelation! As long as we fix our eyes on the perfect work of Jesus on that cross & not on our flesh, we will not sink like Peter, it is that moment when he lost his focus on the Lord, He sank, yet did our Lord not lift him up?

The God we serve always grant us life & lovingkindness:-)

audrey, hi there. I love the ocean also. It reminds me of the Magesty of our God and that He knows how many drops of water it takes to make the sea.
