Pia, you are not alone in that. Many times, I to have been too stuborn or too afraid to let go. I often learn things the hard way.
I sometimes picture the Father looking down with a compassionate smile and slowly skaking His head.
The main thing is, the Lord loves us all so much, that He doesn't give up. Isn't He wonderful?
Blessings in the Lord.
Rulan, thanks for sharing this. I'm in a situation where I have to trust God by faith totally. I had dreamt of 2 paths with "Strong Wind" ahead of me last year.
I always thought "Strong wind" means "difficulties" until one day my sister told me it could be "Blessing" ahead if it is God calling in my life. Letting go is the first step to take.
It is all about willingness to obey his calling and trusting him.
Press on my friend.

Beautiful, wonderful post. I had a similar picture from God, once. I felt I'd stepped off the cliff to follow, but instead of landing solidly like I expected, I kept free-falling through the air--for months and months. And there was debris in the air as well, which scared me. But it never seemed to hit me in any vulnerable spot that could be truly injured. I was bruised here and there, but never really harmed. Finally, I saw that as I was falling, HE was cradling me in His arms and protecting me.
That was a few years ago. So much in our life is still not stable, but I don't feel like I'm free-falling anymore. I'm finding that my foundation is just in being in His arms so it doesn't matter as much where the ground is.

Paula, free-falling would be scary without the Lord to hang onto. Thanks for sharing that. It is such an encouragement. We have such an awesome loving Lord.
Godwyn Lim, cool to have you visit and thanks for the offer of emailing me when you update your blog. However, I am nervous about handing out my address until I've got to know someone well enough.
I would rather keep visiting your blog or perhaps you could leave me a comment each time you've updated? May the Lord bless you also.
Michelle, way cool. Thank you for your encouraging words. We have a mighty, loving Lord. May He bless you.
Kim, Thank you. Yes, it is terrifying to be called out like that, but the Lord is awesome. Thank you for your encouragementGod bless.

Very good post. This is along the same lines as when Jesus told Peter to come to Him on the water. As long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus he was fine. But when he diverted his eyes, he began to sink.
Peter took the step of faith, but didn't keep his eyes on the Lord.
Trust the Lord and never take your eyes off Him (glance at the world, gaze at the Lord) and everything will work out!
Sorry I can't come by too often but these black backgrounds give me a major headache!
Lovely vision...trust in Him. Reminds me of Curm's post about the end of the rope. Wow. We've all just got to take that leap of faith, don't we?
