A New Name
I pray this isn’t too confusing, but as you can see, I have changed the name of my blog. Why?

Well, it is simple really. For years, my childhood hurts have kept me locked into my pain and insecurities. But, with the encouragement and help of a dear friend, the Lord has healed me and I am now looking toward the future. The kid belongs in the past.

Praise the Lord. His mercies go on forever. In Him, we are a new creation. In Him, we walk the road toward our final goal; life in His eternal Kingdom.

Do you have past hurts that hold you back? Do they stop you from being all you were created to be? I pray the Lord will bring you healing, as He has done for me.

I like the name you’ve chosen and I understand the desire to testify to what the Lord has done in your life. God is good.

BTW - "Free Doughnuts" is another great name for your blog. Think of the visitors!

Praise God for the healing! A new begining for Year 2006. The old has past, the new has come! He has changed mine, so he can change yours too!

Remember God's promises in our life. Meditate on Psalm 91, it will strengthen you further.

    Keep on!

Not until I read on Curm's blog today did I realize you were a woman...I don't know why I assumed you were a man? Strange! Anyway, I love the new name. But now you've made work for me. I've only just put in a link to your site and I'm going to have to go back and redo the name! Poor me!

    Rulan,

What a beautiful post. Praise God that you are ready to take that bold step into the future. May you become all that God wants you to be.

I love your pictures. This one invites me to step into it and walk down that road. I'm sure it leads someplace beautiful and peaceful.

    Bless you,
    Clara

Curm, thank you. God is good. He works in all of us to prepare us for heaven.
His work in us won't finish until that day.

Hey, I like the thought of the doughnuts. Can you please bake me 6 dozen? I hear you're a really fine cook and with all my dear visitors, I need plenty to hand around.

janice, the doughnuts are steaming hot, fresh from the oven and smell divine. Would you like a cup of tea with that? If you would prefer coffee, ask curm, I don't drink the stuff. yuck, spit, choke.

I will pray for you whenever the Lord brings you to mind. He delights in a willing heart. May He bless you and send someone across your path to encourage and help you. Praise be to God. He walks beside you.

Prayer Warrior, Amen! God is so good. It's strange how things can hold us down. My prayer is that others may read my post and be encouraged.

Thanks for the Psalm, I shall go and read it.

M.C, Glad you like the change. Many have assumed that I am a man. It might be my unusual name, but I'm not sure.

Awe, sorry about the extra work, but thanks for linking with my blog. I'll have to come by and see how it looks.:)

My friend and I were just reading in Joshua, where Moses changes his name from Hoshea to Joshua.

And then we discussed Jacob/Israel and Saul/Paul.

She told me God hadn't changed my name yet, but when He does, I'll know it.

I thought she was talking silly because she said it quite jokingly, but reading your post seriously halted me in my tracks.

Praise God that your name is changed!! I suppose now I have some consideration to put into this name changing business.

    Thank you.

janice, when my sister and I were kids, mum used to let us grind the beans for her coffee. I always loved the aroma the beans gave off, but I have never been able to enjoy drinking the stuff. Enjoy your coffee my friend and may God bless you. :D
