Golden Hills

There's gold in them there hills.

These hills are near Mt. Te Aroha in the North Island of New Zealand. They are normally green, but on the evening I took this, it was summer and the grass was brown and dry.

The sunset colors were awesome and turned the hills to gold. To me, they looked like velvet.

I have ridden horses many times up those very hills. Those were the days...

    I really missed New Zealand days. Clean, green, fresh air and beautiful nature. Definitely will be back for more, perhaps North Island. Praying for the day to come. :)

    Cowboy, I like that idea. I miss the days when I had a horse and could ride whenever I liked. A wild windy ride would be way cool.

    Godwyn, All I need is a horse and a place to ride. I haven't owned a horse in 15 years. I'll have to save some pennies and go to a dude ranch. lol Never thought of myself as a "dude" before. he he
