Pray for the peace of Jerusalem
I visited Cowboy Sunsets this morning and he had a post there about a thunderstorm. As he listened to the storm, his thoughts strayed to Israel, Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan.

I was moved to pray and so I felt to post my edited comment here as encouragement to us all to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Oh Lord, raise up Your army to protect Your chosen ones. Let all the earth see Your glory. May the enemy tremble at the mention of Your Holy Name.

The battle belongs to You; Oh Lord Who rides the Heavens.

Come in power and majesty, oh Mighty Father. Raise up a standard. Let only Your will be done.

May every knee bow before You in worship.

In Jesus' Mighty name.

Amen.

That is a very appropriate prayer, my friend, because in praying for the peace of Jerusalem (Shalom) you are in reality praying for the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

the bible teels us that there will be no peace in Jerusalem until Christ's return....so pray on, sister!

I was just about to say the same thing as Bonnie...she beat me to it.

Even soldiers long for peace. :)

Great thought and Amen! During my prayer session today, the word “Shalom” was on my lips for several times, Holy Spirit must be interceding. The word “Shalom” always remind me of Israel. Lord, let only your will be done. Amen!

    Yes
    Definitely
I've been praying about Israel lately too, and her enemies, that God will bring Israel peace and salvation to those on both sides.
I don't know if you've heard of Joel Rosenberg(writer of The Last Days, The Last Jihad, The Ezekiel Option) but he is keeping very close tabs on Israel and frequently posts the current news on his blog(@ joelrosenberg.blogspot.com)
